Handbuilding Basics—Sculpture (age 14+)
Students
will learn the fundamentals of ceramics and hand-building.
Each class will start with a unique project meant to expand
the students' knowledge of ceramics and hand-building
techniques. Lessons will include diverse slab, pinch, coil,
surfacing and glazing techniques. Bring an old towel to the
first class and get ready to let your creativity take over!

intermediate wheel class with emphasis on gas firing. New
glazes formulated for gas firing will be used. Full pottery
studio available to students. Students must have taken 2

Intermediate Handbuilding -Introductory Techniques (age
18+)
Aim to
solidify early clay experiences with hands on techniques.
Students will be given instruction for handbuilding projects
by demonstration and self guided projects. Handbuilding
helps students understand the properties of clay beyond the
wheel. Intermediate wheel option only available to students
with at least 2 wheel classes. Supply list online at
