Creative dramatics is an intensive drama class that approaches the
fundamentals of drama in a unique and creative way. The last class
will serve as a demonstration for friends and family.

 On Camera-Action! Ages 9-14    (age 9-14)
An Acting Workshop designed to take the experienced actor on a creative journey working from the inside/out. Each session will visit the journey from getting the call to audition to booking the role and what to do on the set or camera! Every student will discover exactly what he or she personally brings to their role by -Learning to warm up. 8 wks.  Placement of focus and attention  Listening and reacting  Improvisational skills  Auditioning skills

One on One Private Lessons Mon: Vocal/Acting    (age 9+)
Build your confidence, discover a new talent while enjoying one of your favorite performing arts. The Art Place is now offering 30 minute private lessons to individuals. Register yourself or your child for beginning and intermediate voice or acting lessons. Private lessons will be scheduled every thirty minutes according to the days of the week below. The lessons follow our beginning and ending class schedules. For Fall 2012 they can be up to 10 weeks. Beginning the week of September 10th. No classes the week of Thanksgiving.. One on One Piano Lessons Beg & Interm. 7 & Up   
Whether you are a beginner or intermediate piano student, piano
instructor, Rosa Wright will be able to help you move forward with
confidence, knowledge, and love of the piano. Students cannot register online
for piano lessons. You must call The Art Place to register and schedule
your time with Ms. Wright. Lessons begin Sept. 10th and will follow
our regular 10 week class session. You must re-register each session. No classes the week of Thanksgiving.

Young Actors Academy-Level II    (age 6-14)
In this 8 week class, students learn to apply their technique work (from Young Actors Academy I) to a variety of scripts. With the basics of the Stanislavski** System, students learn about wants/objectives, through-line of action, sense memory, and place work. Field trips to active plays (s) appropriate for their age or DVD critiquing actors in plays/shows will be a focus as well. 8 wks.

This class will have a focus of a musical review from Broadway Show. Once registered for the class auditions will be a part of the process as much as the singing, dancing and acting. End production will be held in the theatre on November 6th. 10 wks.
